Al Ain Enthusiast ebook cover

Hello!

Enter your name and email address below and I’ll be able to send you emails telling you when I have added new pages, or updated current ones.

I won’t send you many of these! So your inbox won’t get flooded with messages from me!!

As soon as you sign up, I’ll email you a link to the Al Ain Enthusiast ebook which contains all the articles and photos on this site, plus maps and legends with photos. You can view this ebook on your computer, on your smart phone, or on an iPad – because the files are in standard pdf format.

You will receive an email in the next minute or two. Open it up and click on the link in it. This will confirm your subscription to my Al Ain Enthusiast mailing list. You will then receive a second email containing a link where you can download the ebook and maps.

Good job on the website! Are you planning on adding properties for rent? I find it very difficult to find housing here. I have located two realtors who have been very helpful but I haven’t signed a contract for a place yet. Also, please add yoga classes and locations (the Hilton is one place that has them and House of Art is another.) Thanks!

Thanks Deborah! I won’t be listing properties for rent as I’d be forever adding properties and taking them off when they’d sold! :) But I’ll happily list sites that do provide listings as I come across them. If those 2 realtors have useful sites, do please pass them along to me and I’ll add them in. I went to the House Of Arts myself yesterday for the first time, and Gaby showed me around. I’ve added details about the yoga classes to the site now. I’ll list the one at the HIlton soon.

It might be worth adding under the cost of living section a grocery list of all the main weekly items and then convert the UAE cost to the most common expat currencies as this is something people ask, how much is a loaf of bread, pint of milk etc etc sun cream….??

Yes… it’s really a good place. Looking forward to visit there soon.

Considering a teaching job there and I have a high school student. She will be a junior in high school. What will life for her be like and what is the health care system like there? She has a pre-existing condition that I will have to have monitored while there.

    Hi Kaz,
I’m not sufficiently clear from your message how to respond fully. There are some excellent hospitals here, like Tawam Hospital, which isn’t far from school road where many schools are, including Al Ain English Speaking School.
Post another comment if you want me to elaborate further.
    Warmest,
    Chris

Your subscription page doesn’t seem to be working. I have tried a couple of occasions to provide more that one email address and it does not accept them?
    Please help.

  15. admin says:

    Hi Kirsten,
Thanks for the comment. I’ve checked this myself now and it’s working fine.
I’m also getting signups from this page pretty much every day, so it seems the issue is at your end.
You may want to Empty Cache on your browser and see if that works.

  19. admin says:

Hello Mrs Sumaia, I don’t know about ballet classes in Al Ain as I only have sons!
I suggest you contact The House Of Arts and ask there if they know of any classes around — or ring local schools like Al Ain English Speaking School.
    Warmest,
    Chris
