Here is a selection of photos to show what a great place this is…
Here’s the entrance to the Al Ain Wildlife Resort. You can see the hollow ‘cookie cutter’ animal sculptures on the central reservation…
You get a terrific map when you hand over your money…
This is what you see as you walk through, having paid your money: a pleasant covered area with a waterfall and lion sculptures…
You’ll see this immediately to your right. Beautiful flamingos…
Further to your left… Which way now? Clear signposts…
And to the left of this…
And a little further to the left… Notice the mosque in the Wildlife Park…
A train to drive you round on a whistlestop tour. All aboard!…
Monkeys…
White lions…
Giraffes..
Rhinos…
Lovely view of the mountains…
Covered area nearby, and grass to lounge on…
The spray can cool you down when it gets hot…
A pretty fountain…
The play area…
To the right of here, past the orangutans is the arena to watch the Bird Show (link to separate article)…
Next to this arena is a building containing birds…
…and penguins…
Entry fees are very cheap for a family.
There’s a restaurant there for lunch, serving burgers, pizzas etc. And there are kiosks selling drinks, snacks, ice-creams, cuddly tigers, etc.
Enjoy!
