The dinosaur exhibition at the Al Ain Wildlife Park and Resort ran for a number of months until the summer of 2010. So it’s not there now, but it may come again in the future.
So I’m posting these photos so you can see what it was like. It was very impressive! These creatures moved about (complete with quiet hydraulic hissing sounds), and made ‘raaaring’ noises too…
This is a brachiosaurus…
Triceratops…
The ‘king’, T-Rex…
Another fierce one…
This next one squirts venom or something: see the water coming out of its mouth!…
Cute eggs that wiggle about. Oh boy, they’re hatching! Where’s David – or Richard – Attenborough?…
Another T-Rex…
Dinosaurs galore…
My favourite as a child: stegosaurus…
And all the dinosaurs were nicely signposted as well…
Another triceratops…
You can even ride on their backs. Thankfully they’ve been well fed first…
…and control an ‘uncovered’ a stegosaurus with a joystick and 2 buttons…
…and uncover new bones in the sand…
As I said at the beginning of this article, a wonderful exhibition which gives you a flavour of how modern and professional an operation it is at this park.
